Francis has four years post-qualification experience and has worked on a wide range of matters, delivering successful outcomes for clients. His experience includes litigation in commercial, employment, debt collection and personal injury matters; providing legal advisory services; conducting due diligence; and registration of business entities. Francis has also handled family and domestic relations matters including divorce, domestic and international adoption of children, custody and maintenance of children.
He joined the firm as a legal intern and trained under experienced lawyers until his admission to the Malawi bar as a Legal Practitioner in May 2022. Before joining the firm, Francis worked as a legal intern at Mvalo and Company in Lilongwe. Prior to that, he worked as a Candidate Attorney at Mhishi Nkomo Legal Practice in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Francis is committed to professional development and has attended various trainings including the Raul Wallenburg Institute for Human Rights, the prestigious trial advocacy training facilitated by the Justice Advocacy Africa and several Continuing Professional Development programs organized by the Malawi Law Society. Francis is currently a faculty member of Justice Advocacy Africa, contributing to enhancing trial advocacy skills using the learning by doing method.
