Mr Francis Kalonga is an Associate in the firm. He joined the firm as a legal intern in November 2021 during his legal qualification course at the Malawi Institute of Legal Education (“MILE”). He successfully completed the MILE course in December 2021 and was admitted to the Malawi Bar as a legal practitioner on 18th May 2022. He became an Associate in June 2022.
Before joining the firm, he worked as a legal intern at Mvalo and Company in Lilongwe. Prior to that he worked as a candidate attorney at Mhishi Nkomo Legal Practice in Harare, Zimbabwe. He also had a stint with Chris and Legal in Lilongwe.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws, Honours Degree (LLB Hons) with a credit at Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, a public university in Zimbabwe. He is also a holder of a Diploma in Law obtained from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.
Francis is very passionate about his work and is reliable. He was entrusted with the responsibility of class president at MILE and he represented his peers fearlessly. He has a special interest in commercial litigation.
