Associate

We are inviting applications for the post of Associate.

The Associate will have the following core duties:

  • Carrying out transactional work in a wide array of corporate and commercial transactions.
  • Representing clients in dispute resolution including in litigation, arbitration and mediation.
  • Conducting research and providing legal advice.

Minimum requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law obtained from an accredited institution.
  • An outstanding academic record.
  • A valid practising licence.
  • Three years post-admission experience in a reputable law firm or institution.
  • Experience in corporate and commercial transactional work.
  • Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence, persistence and resilience to consistently deliver the highest quality of work in a cost effective and expeditious manner.
  • Knowledge of contemporary legal issues.
  • Sincerity, positivity and flexibility to ensure our clients receive first rate service, at all times.

Secretary

We are looking for a Secretary to support the efficient operation of the firm. This role has a direct impact on the level of service provided to our clients. It is therefore imperative that the support is delivered with a genuine appreciation of the pace and extent of demands by the firm’s clients. This will involve delivering work with a high degree of accuracy and professional presentation, turned around promptly to meet deadlines, with the parallel aim of going above and beyond wherever possible.


Minimum requirements

  • A diploma in a relevant field obtained from a recognised institution.
  • Three years’ experience in secretarial work in a busy office.
  • Good IT skills, in particular, in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, organized and with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Comfortable working to multiple deadlines and able to use own initiative to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
